Club History and Committee

Founded some 40 years ago, the club’s early background was in road racing.  Over the years we have fostered many strong race and time-trial cyclists.  We are still a very active member of the Cycling Time Trials (CTT) and are fortunate to have a few strong cyclists including some outstanding young riders. 

Alongside the more competitive racing side of the club there has always been a level of more relaxed social riding and it is this side of the club which has grown considerably over recent years such that it now forms the largest part of our activities.

Our committee

The club is a registered charity and is run by a small group of active volunteers who give up their time to help make things run smoothly. Principal amongst these are our regular Group Ride Leaders and our Committee Members. 

Needless to say we are always on the lookout for additional volunteers able to give up a bit of their time to help make things work even better. If you are interested in helping please let any member of the committee know.

Progress Meetings

• Our Annual General Meeting normally takes place in November. 
• Other Committee meetings take place periodically in person or by email if and when needed based on matters raised by our members. 
• We are always open to all suggestions for ways in which things can be improved. If you have any suggestions or matters you want discussed please let any member of the committee know.
